Sahara Force India unveiled its 2012 Formula 1 challenger at the Silverstone Circuit today. The new challenge called the VJM05 was presented by the race team drivers Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenburg. It is the team before the release of cars after the coming into existence in 2008 as the team seeks to challenge the top five teams in the constructors' championship.
Powered by Mercedes, the team chose a path similar to the design of the nose in 2012 Caterham and Ferrari. Under the new rules the FIA, the nose of the car must not exceed 55 cm, while the front wall can remain in 62.5cm leaving the possibility of a passage between the two. The McLarens have lowered the overall height of the F1 car and avoid the controversial front wing, now called the platypus.
Force India has had a successful season last year because he achieved his best position, sixth in the standings. Team will now take part in preseason tests for the first time in the Jerez circuit in Spain on Tuesday.
